RayGit Privacy Policy

A short explanation of what RayGit keeps locally and when optional services receive data.

Effective date: August 6, 2026

RayDeck does not sell personal data or use personal data for advertising through RayGit. RayGit does not include analytics or tracking SDKs and does not require a RayGit account.

Information stored locally

RayGit stores repository locations, application preferences, and Git credentials locally on your Mac. Credentials are protected using macOS system security services. RayDeck does not receive this local information.

Services you choose

When you open or activate a repository, RayGit may fetch refs from its configured remote in the background. Explicit Git remote operations also send the data required for the operation directly to the remote service you selected. Remote services process data under their own privacy policies and retention terms.

Optional AI processing

RayGit's optional AI features are off by default and require explicit consent before any repository context, prompt, staged diff, or file content is sent for processing.

In ChatGPT sign-in or OpenAI API-key mode, the bundled Codex CLI communicates directly with OpenAI under the account or API key you provide. RayDeck.app does not proxy those requests and does not receive their content.

In RayGit Review Access mode, used to let App Store reviewers test the same optional AI features without receiving a shared OpenAI key, RayGit exchanges the review access code for a short-lived session and sends Codex requests through RayDeck.app to OpenAI. Repository context, prompts, diffs, and model responses transit RayDeck.app's review proxy in memory and are forwarded to OpenAI for processing. RayDeck.app does not store prompt text, repository content, diffs, response bodies, Git remote URLs, raw credentials, review access codes, or session tokens.

For Review Access, RayDeck.app stores only operational metadata needed to run the service: hashed credential identifiers, session identifiers, submission/build metadata, request counts, token usage when reported by OpenAI, status codes, timestamps, durations, and aggregate quota counters. RayDeck.app does not persist API-host access logs or reviewer IP addresses. Any network-address rate processing uses a rotating in-memory HMAC bucket, is transient, and is destroyed on restart. OpenAI processes forwarded AI requests under OpenAI's privacy policy and terms.
